May 4-5, the Department of Public Utilities will begin work on water main cleaning and relining in the Fan District. Crews will begin on Harvey Street and proceed west.
The following streets between Cary Street and Grove Avenue will be closed intermittently during this process: Harvey, Vine, Lombardy and Plum.
Motorists are asked to follow posted detour signs. Residents in this area will see yellow, temporary, above ground bypass piping (looks like yellow hoses). This piping is used while the water mains are being cleaned and lined to ensure there is no interruption in water service.
